Orthopaedic Surgery

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is dedicated to the treatment of patients of all ages with tumor-related problems of the musculoskeletal system (bones, muscles and connective tissues). We use a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care to provide our patients with state-of-the-art medical and surgical treatment in the inpatient and outpatient setting.

We provide diagnosis and treatment for:

  • Limb-preserving surgery
  • Bone sarcomas, pediatric and adult
  • Soft tissue sarcomas, pediatric and adult
  • Use of "growing" endoprosthesis for children
  • Benign bone and soft tissue tumors
  • Metastatic bone tumors
  • Pathologic fractures
  • Metabolic bone disease
  • Radiofrequency ablation
  • Complex reconstructive bone and joint replacement surgery

As part of our commitment to help our colleagues provide the best care to their patients, we follow patients throughout the entire disease process. To this end, we are available to address acute care needs tha may arise after patients have completed their course of treatment unders our care.
